Lasvit

LASVIT is a Czech manufacturer of unique glass works. The company is known for its ability to combine tradition and craftsmanship with modern vision and technology. LASVIT was founded in 2007 by Leon Yakimichem and in just a few years has established itself as an authority on the market for decorative lighting and art installations of blown glass.

Their light-dynamic and kinetic sculptures of glass, as well as architectural glass, use the latest technology and are a prime example of design with technical precision. Each stage of manufacture takes place manually: from blowing glass components to polishing or engraving. Large-scale installations of the company can be seen in five-star hotels, public buildings, elite boutiques, first-class restaurants and private residences around the world.

Being a manufacturer mainly of custom installations, LASVIT has recently focused on designer lighting and tableware for the mass market. Many products from the LASVIT Collections catalog are on the verge of what is physically possible to create manually. The result of the company's unsurpassed skill glassblowers.

It is not surprising that this level of craftsmanship attracts designers from all over the world who come to the Czech Republic to work directly with local craftsmen or agree on the production of their work by LASVIT. They include Japanese designer Nendo, British designers Ross Lovegrove, Michael Young and Moritz Waldmeier, famous American designer Daniel Libeskind, and also Maarten Baas, Arik Levy and Andre Foo.
